The Maccabiah is a one-of-a-kind event which athletes from Israel and Jewish athletes from around the world get together and participate in tournaments in a wide variety of different sports, as a part of the biggest Jewish sports event in the world! As a means to bring Jewish people of all ages closer to Judaism and Israel, in addition to various informal educational activities in a manner that surpasses politics and sectarianism. After the covid-19 pandemic, the Maccabiah resumes its course with regenerated powers where delegations from countries around the globe arrive to compete in 45 different sports.

Maccabiah Village in Poleg Beach, Netanya

The summer event where the official beach Maccabiah tournaments take place, you can watch from up close athletes from around the globe and cheer them up to reach their peak performances in the beach sports.


As a part of Maccabiah Village the public can enjoy from 4 worlds that include among the others, 7 continental experiences, from Asia to South America. On top of that, the general public is welcomed to try out backgammon, tabletop foot ball, Matkot and more.

How to get there

Car:
The event will take place in Poleg Beach, that is located in the south of Netanya. For the public that arrives from outside of the city, you can enter the city via Poleg Interchange and turn to Ben Gurion blvd. After half a kilometer, at the first traffic light, turn left to Zalman Shazar st. and after 1 KM turn left to Shosh Atari St.

Bus:
The following bus lines stop at the bus station closest to the event- Hof Poleg\Ramat Poleg:
138, 7, 31,15,623,18.


Train:
The closest train station is Beit Yehoshua. After dropping there, take bus line number 31 or alternatively get out of the train at Netanya- Sapir train station and take either bus line number 138 or 15
For further information and alternatice directions we recommend using the apps "MOOVIT", "WAZE " or "Google Maps", or the Israel Train Webstie.

Parking

The general public Maccabiah beach parking lot:
Go to Ehud Manor Street and get instructed by signs that will be located in the area
The public is welcomed to arrive to the paid car park in Poleg Beach

Important guidelines

  • Alcoholic beverages may only be sold to people who are 18 or older

  • Follow the instructions of the security workers

  • A child under the age of 12 must be under parental supervision

  • Entering the sea is prohibited! For your comfort there is an official swimmable beach close by.

  • Entering the official competitive arenas and fields is prohibited

  • Keep your belongings near you for the full duration of your stay

  • Sitting in the galleries is limited to a certain amount of available seats and depends on available seats.

  • Getting out of the event area for any reason and then coming back requires rescanning your ticket.

  • Please pay attention! Entering the event is reliant upon a security check. In addition, you will not be allowed to enter with the following:

  • Any kind of animal, apart from a service dog in training\in duty

  • Any kind of a 2 wheel vehicle (bicycle/motorcycle), including the charging battery

  • Glass bottles

  • Foam spray

  • Bike helmets and alcohol and drugs

  • Folding chairs, mats, and camping equipment

  • BBQ, furniture, parasols, and picnic coolers

  • Any kind of weapon. There will not be an option to store weapons at the entrance
