4 different worlds of experiences: 1 The Maccabiah Tournaments The official Maccabiah competitions. 6 Beach and sea sports: beach football, climbing, beach volleyball, ninja obstacle course, 3X3 basketball and surfing. All at an international level with grandstands for viewing to the general public. Come cheer, enjoy and get excited. The full schedule of the competitions is detailed later in the program according to the dates. 2 Israeli Sportival Israel is celebrating sports, everything that is fun on the shores of the country now in Maccabiah Village. Matkots, backgammon, table football, Footvolley, mini-Footvolley, teqball, beach wrestling, sport rescue, beach tennis, volleyball, climbing wall, surfing. Showcase games, open tournaments, tutorials and more. Book places in advance on the Village website for your preferred dates! 4 Around the world During all of the festival days there will be 6 continental areas for the general public that will include a variety of activities that will make your summer! My passport At the beginning of the visit to Maccabiah Village, you will receive a family passport, which you will land in any complex in which you will participate. Did you stamp the passport with at least 4 stamps of the various activities? You will receive a cool souvenir from the Village at the end! ​ Global Studio 6 cool photo complexes by continents of the world. You can access, be photographed and photograph independently and create an international book for yourself. Information The Maccabiah is a one-of-a-kind event which athletes from Israel and Jewish athletes from around the world get together and participate in tournaments in a wide variety of different sports, as a part of the biggest Jewish sports event in the world! As a means to bring Jewish people of all ages closer to Judaism and Israel, in addition to various informal educational activities in a manner that surpasses politics and sectarianism. After the covid-19 pandemic, the Maccabiah resumes its course with regenerated powers where delegations from countries around the globe arrive to compete in 45 different sports. Maccabiah Village in Poleg Beach, Netanya Parking Opening Hours How to get there The summer event where the official beach Maccabiah tournaments take place, you can watch from up close athletes from around the globe and cheer them up to reach their peak performances in the beach sports. As a part of Maccabiah Village the public can enjoy from 4 worlds that include among the others, 7 continental experiences, from Asia to South America. On top of that, the general public is welcomed to try out backgammon, tabletop foot ball, Matkot and more. For the public that arrives from outside of the city, you can enter the city via Poleg Interchange and turn to Ben Gurion blvd. After half a kilometer, at the first traffic light, turn left to Zalman Shazar st. and after 1 KM turn left to Shosh Atari St. Public transportation: Bus: The following bus lines stop at the bus station closest to the event- Hof Poleg\Ramat Poleg: 138, 7, 31,15,623,18. Train: The closest train station is Beit Yehoshua. After dropping there, take bus line number 31 or alternatively get out of the train at Netanya- Sapir train station and take either bus line number 138 or 15 For further information and alternatice directions we recommend using the apps "MOOVIT", "WAZE " or "Google Maps", or the Israel Train Webstie. Parking The general public Maccabiah beach parking lot: Go to Ehud Manor Street and get instructed by signs that will be located in the area The public is welcomed to arrive to the paid car park in Poleg Beach Important guidelines Alcoholic beverages may only be sold to people who are 18 or older Follow the instructions of the security workers A child under the age of 12 must be under parental supervision Entering the sea is prohibited! For your comfort there is an official swimmable beach close by. Entering the official competitive arenas and fields is prohibited Keep your belongings near you for the full duration of your stay Sitting in the galleries is limited to a certain amount of available seats and depends on available seats. Getting out of the event area for any reason and then coming back requires rescanning your ticket. Please pay attention! Entering the event is reliant upon a security check. At the start of the trip, each family will receive a passport which will be needed to be stamped on every continent you will visit. The passport got full with every continent's stamp? You will earn a prize at the completion! On top of that, a photo shoot area will be waiting in each continent, where we can get a memory from the visit. Africa area On beat musical Drums Alive Every half an hour will be a musical, sportive activity for all ages in which kids will try together with their parents to hit large fit balls with drum sticks according to the beat. South America area Real size table top football A playground where parents and kids compete against each other or together in foot ball teams just like in table top, but in a real life scale! This is a funny and cooperative station between players to score a goal! Australia area Speed of life During all the activity hours kids could compete against their parents\ friends in the "speed of life" attraction. A competitive area that works with dynamic flashlights. Europe area Basket shooting A station where the parents and kids can compete one with\against the other, in teams or 1 x 1 with the help of cheering friends from the side! Asia area Juggling workshop A workshop in which parents and kids together will learn about the secrets of juggling – how they do it in the circus, what needs to be remembered, where to look, how many balls are possible to juggle, trying balls and other juggling equipment. הידעת? המכביה הינה אירוע הספורט השלישי בגודלו בעולם מבחינת מספר המשתתפים - כאשר האולימפיאדה במקום הראשון, והאוניברסיאדה במקום השני. וכן, המכביה גדולה יותר אפילו מהמונדיאל! המכביה הראשונה נערכה בשנת 1932 על ידי אסף יקותיאלי שחלם על קיום אולימפיאדה ליהודים, בעקבות איסור על יהודים ברחבי אירופה להתאמן במועדוני ספורט מקומיים המכביה היא האירוע המרכזי של תנועת מכבי תנועה לאומית, שמונה כ400,000 חברים ב60 מדינות שונות! השם המקורי של המכביה היה "המכביאדה" על מחויבותו למפעל המכביה זכה יוסף יקותיאלי- מייסדה, בפרס ישראל למפעל חיים לאחר הקמת המדינה. כ3,000 טורנירים צפויים להתקיים בתחרויות המכביה!
